As its name suggests, our Late Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with olives that are harvested slightly later than those harvested for our Murray Gold Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The olives are still processed in exactly the same way, producing an olive oil that is lighter in flavour and density than the Murray Gold.
Our Late Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil is perfect for those who prefer milder flavoured olive oils. Less pungent, it is great for those who like to hide the flavour of the oil in with the food, or who simply prefer less bitter and less aromatic oils.
Its light flavour makes it versatile and easy to use with a range of dishes. It can be cooked into a variety of dishes, drizzled over a salad, splashed over pasta, or as the base for an olive oil & balsamic vinegar appetiser.
Our Late Harvest Extra VIrgin Olive Oil is so light and versatile, it can replace almost all other cooking oils. It can even replace margarine where you would usually use that for cooking. Having said that, please be mindful not to cook our Late Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil at extremely high temperatures, which can compromise the flavour and cause the oil to burn. It is best used fresh, for light frying, or for baking.
