We pride ourselves on growing the finest olives here at our estate in Robinvale. We grow a variety of olives here including Manzanillo and Kalamata olives in both black and green varieties. The colour of the olive depends on when the olives are harvested, with green olives being harvested earlier in the season and retaining more of the bitter notes of the olive.

Hand growing olives is the first thing that ever happened on the Robinvale Estate family farm, dating back to the 1940s. Ever since then, we have been perfecting our growing methods and produce a variety of olive based products. Alongside our Extra Virgin Olive Oil and our Agrumato Olive Oil, we are proud to sell our marinated olives in the jar so that you can experience the tastes of Robinvale.

Yes. All of the marinated and packaged olives sold on our website are grown right here at our olive grove in Robinvale. They are hand picked and processed, providing a farm-fresh flavour in every jar or packet of olives. We source many of the herbs and spices used in our marinades from the local Robinvale Mildura area, staying true to the meaning of local produce.

Virtually all varieties of olives can be black or green because the colour simply depends on the moment in which they are harvested. Green olives are harvested earlier in the season and retain more of the bitter notes of the olive. They are crunchier and firmer, whereas black olives are typically softer, saltier, and have a more mature flavour profile.

We grow a variety of olives, but focus mainly on growing Manzanillo and Kalamata olives. Manzanillo olives originate in Spain, are large and plump, and translate literally into “little apple”. They have a crunchier, juicier texture. Kalamata olives are meatier and softer in texture and originate in Greece, and are the most popular table grapes in Australia.

Robinvale Estate olives are already marinated and prepared so that you can eat them straight out of the jar or packet. Some of our olives are vacuum sealed with herbs while others are preserved in brine.

Many of our customers simply enjoy eating our olives and kalamata olives straight out of the jar. Others include olives as a part of their grazing boards or cheese platters, or add it to a plate of antipasto that can be shared. If you wish to use our olives as ingredients for cooking, make sure you pit them first as they all contain seeds.
